Dear Customers,

We're informing you about a mandatory upgrade for all hosting packages to PHP 7.4 or higher, effective October 28, 2024. This upgrade is essential to ensure optimal performance, security, and compatibility with the latest web technologies.

Why the upgrade?

Later PHP versions offer numerous advantages, including:

  • Enhanced performance: Enjoy faster loading times and improved website responsiveness
  • Stronger security: Benefit from the latest security features to protect your website from vulnerabilities
  • Deprecation of outdated APIs: Futureproof your website by staying compatible with current and upcoming web technologies

Get ready for the upgrade:

To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend taking the following steps before October 28, 2024:

  • Check compatibility: Review your website, CMS versions, and plugins/themes for compatibility with PHP 7.4 (8.2 recommended). Utilize available resources and documentation provided by your platform developers
  • Upgrade your plugins and themes: Ensure compatibility by updating your plugins and themes to versions compatible with PHP 7.4 (8.2 recommended)
  • Test your website: Test your website thoroughly after upgrading your CMS and plugins to identify and address any potential issues

What needs to be done?

  • We request you stop using older versions of PHP that are no longer supported by the community and start working with your developer to upgrade your code, application, theme, or plugin. You can manage your PHP version using the MultiPHP Manager in your cPanel.

Important deadline:

Please note that the mandatory PHP upgrade will take place during the week of October 28th, 2024. To avoid potential downtime or compatibility issues, we strongly recommend action before the deadline.
